5 minute walk from Gare du Nord. Great spot if you plan to visit all areas of Paris. A trip to the southern parts can take a substantial amount of time. Reserve at least 1 hour for metro travel in that case. Shops of all sorts and restaurants are plenty, most of them in front and in the side streets of the station. The hotel is located just outside that busy area with at least 2 supermarkets between them. Bathroom in the basic room is small, with green perspex doors. OK for max 2 nights. Had a different room the next day which was a lot bigger, also had a bigger bathroom with a glass door in blue design and a better layout. Much better and a wiser choice for a longer stay (+2 days). Beds are still changed on a daily basis and used towels replaced. Breakfast is of the "American" style. Room on street-side overlooks the platforms from Gare de L'est so it is very close to both. As a result their station announcements can be heard as is the odd rumbling train. A closed balcony door eliminates those sounds quite well. Know that a city tax (13/night) needs to be paid upon arrival. It is not included in the price of the booking.

Staff were good, especially since I didn't speak the language. Location is a little out from everything but still easy to get around. I loved that they had a Sparkling water tap in the reception/lobby area, nice touch. Room was cleaned daily which was nice after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was also good, easy and lots of variety. There is also a bakery down the street if you don't wish to get breaky here, but the convenience of the hotel Breakfast was what got me.

It's a walking distance from Gare du Nord, but if you're short on time, it can take about 20-30 minutes to get to points of interest in the city. The hotel is ideal for who will commute in train station, for who has an early train next day or who don't mind taking a few different subway trains to get to places.

Sidnei

The hotel is centrally located near Gare de Nord Train Station, so ideal if getting the train from Paris CDG. Easy check in, the rooms were clean and tidy, fresh towels every day. The hotel is only a short walk from the metro, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants only a short walk away.

Discogrant

Location is the best between the 2 big train stations. However, no parking space if you prefer taxi. Travel by Metro is the best with a lot of options in walking distance. I believe the safety is quite ok for this location with some convenience store nearby.
